What are the types and advantages of genuine leather?
Cowhide:
Most protective gloves use cow-head leather. Features: soft, dexterous, comfortable, good wear resistance, tear resistance and puncture resistance. Most of the gloves made of double-layer leather are used for goods handling and heat protection. Features: The cost is lower than the cow head layered leather, and the wear resistance is excellent.
goat skin:
Its ordinary thickness cannot pull out the second layer of leather, and its advantage is that it is lighter than cowhide. Because it uses the original thickness, it is suitable for making gloves with better mechanical resistance. Features: soft, dexterous, good abrasion resistance, tear resistance and puncture resistance. Its abrasion resistance depends on the thickness of the leather, the thickness usually used is 1.1-1.3MM (good mechanical properties) or 0.6-1.0MM (good flexibility and dexterity).
Pigskin:
Pig’s first layer leather and second layer leather: most of them are concentrated in Asian countries. Because of its poor mechanical resistance and poor dexterity after blending, it is used to make gloves with simple isolation effects. Features: Low price.
Lambskin:
Single-layer leather: Due to its poor wear resistance and tear resistance, it is usually only used to make ordinary gloves. The thickness of lambskin is directly proportional to its dexterity. The thinner it is, the more dexterous and comfortable it is to wear. Features: soft and dexterous.
